Jesus taught about the Kingdom and showed how powerful he was through healings. People didn’t want the change that the Kingdom would bring, so they came up with excuses to avoid the issue. What excuses do people use today to avoid the issue of the kingdom of God?

I don't know how to speak for anybody but me, but I'm most guilty of compartmentalizing aspects of my life - my work, my home, my hobbies...and my relationship with Jesus. I'm getting better, but sometimes it's not obvious to me how Jesus "fits" into some of my compartments so I kinda just avoid taking the time to connect the dots... It is neat when He pulls me back in though - I'm guessing that's the Spirit doing that; I'm looking forward to being with the Spirit and recounting all the "Oh, that was You...?" moments in my life

I think sometimes I use the 'I'm tired' excuse too much But then, I know that God wants me to get my Sabbath time so I can be a more effective pastor, mother and wife during the other times. So, how much of the 'I'm tired' is me making up excuses and how much is God telling me to slow down and take my Sabbath time?
