Imagine that you are there on the mountaintop as a witness to this extraordinary event described in Matthew 17:1-8. How do you react? What questions fill your mind?

I woould have thought Jesus had made a mistake picking me until this point - I'd have been sure he mad a mistake and I didn't belong. It is very comforting to see the Apostles honesty in the Bible - having seen Jesus perform miracles and Peter given the Faith to know that Jesus was/is the Son of the Living God - still there were so terrified they couldn't stand. When Jesus told Peter that his faith did not come to him by flesh and blood - It comes from God - It's not something we work at - it's something we pray for and given to us. When the Apostles asked a question - Jesus answered; I only remember Jesus expressing frustration or dissapointment when they relied on their own knowledge.
