What difference does it make that Jesus was miraculously conceived by God? Do you struggle to believe this? Does it matter to your overall understanding of who Jesus is?

This is a given in my faith. But it takes a lot of faith to believe in this and any other miracle. Its always hard to have faith in something we can not see. It is most important to my faith because if Jesus was not fully divine, conceived by the Holy Spirit, he would not be the perfect sacrifice. And - he would not be the presence of God with us -- God would still be hidden in the Holy of Hollies and we would not be able to experience god in a personal way.

Jesus is superior to all of us being the son of GOD! I do not struggle to believe this at all. Jesus came to die for our sins, so we all may have a chance at eternal life is we so choose. This is the way I see it through my simple mind> GOD Loves us so much, he gave all of us a free mind, free will. We can do, say and think anything we want. But then he gives us the Bible as a guide to live our lives by and how to treat others. And in this Bible, GOD give us the keys to achieve the most precious gift of all, “Eternal Life.” A gift so precious it’s worth more than a zillion of our universes times a trillion. We can’t buy it, no matter how much money we have, it will never happen, it has to be earned. Now I ask you, have you ever had a great day on this earth? A day so great that if it were possible, you'd would like to relive that day again? Think about it, how great would that be, cause I've been blessed to have thousands of great days? So if we read the Bible, follow GOD’s suggestions, have Faith in GOD's word, accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior. We will get a chance to make it to Heaven and earn the gift of “Eternal Life”. Well please think about this. GOD tells us in the Bible, that our worst day in Heaven, will be millions of times greater than our best day on earth, Think About That. So if you read the Bible, follow GOD’s suggestions and have Faith, accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior and we earn the trip to Heaven and achieve the gift of “Eternal Life”, all your best days are ahead of you. If you don’t then your best days are behind you. Too many people think that going to Heaven and earning “Eternal Life” is a given, it’s not. Please read the Bible and start with the new testament, don’t take my words for it, read Bible and then make up your mind. Remember we will all be judged by our actions in life, so we need to realize that we must take responsibility for our actions in life, because on Judgement Day, it all catches up with you. The only way one can get out of this world alive is through Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior!

great thoughts, nitrorichfire, One question in response: do you think that we earn God's grace or that it is given to us as a free gift? I read both sides of this theological debate in your post. John Wesley would say that we are given the free gift of prevenient grace and our walk with Christ moves us closer toward God. That said, he would also say that the good works we do as we follow the Bible are not what we do to earn a ticket to heaven, but rather, our response to God's grace and the ways in which we grow closer to God. Taking it back to the original question, this prevenient grace is given us through the death of JC and his divine conception is what makes him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. (Hmmm... I think we had this conversation in cafe last week - it sounds familiar)

If God does not exist it would take an extreme amount of faith to believe in miracles. But if God does exist miracles become part of the natural framework as God interjects a different phenomenon into the natural realm. Remember miracles are only miracles to us. To God they are a part of His nature.
