If the president was scheduled to visit your home, how would you prepare?

To me the president is no different from any other man on the earth, he's just a man. With that said I would want to make him understand GOD's message to us. GOD Loves us so much, he gave all of us a free mind, free will. We can do, say and think anything we want. But then he gives us the Bible as a guide to live our lives by and how to treat others. And in this Bible, GOD give us the keys to achieving the most precious gift of all, “Eternal Life.” A gift so precious it’s worth more than a zillion of our universes times a trillion. We can’t buy it, no matter how much money we have, it will never happen, it has to be earned. Now I ask you, have you ever had a great day on this earth? A day so great that if it were possible, you'd would like to relive that day again? Think about it, how great would that be, cause I've been blessed to have thousands of great days? So if we read the Bible, follow GOD’s suggestions, have Faith in GOD's word, accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior. We will get a chance to make it to Heaven and earn the gift of “Eternal Life”. Well please think about this. GOD tells us in the Bible, that our worst day in Heaven, will be millions of times greater than our best day on earth, Think About That. So if you read the Bible, follow GOD’s suggestions and have Faith, accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior and we earn the trip to Heaven and achieve the gift of “Eternal Life”, all your best days are ahead of you. If you don’t then your best days are behind you. Too many people think that going to Heaven and earning “Eternal Life” is a given, it’s not. Please read the Bible and start with the new testament, don’t take my words for it, read Bible and then make up your mind. Remember we will all be judged by our actions in life, so we need to realize that we must take responsibility for our actions in life, because on Judgement Day, it all catches up with you. The only way one can get out of this world alive is through Jesus Christ our LORD and Savior! I would try to get him to understand what GOD offers us. Put GOD back in schools, put GOD back into government. That everything we have is because GOD has Blessed us.

Imagine if everyone looked at Jesus as just another man too -- and if they remembered that us pastors are just another person. I wonder how that would change how we interact with each other as well?

After reading the Bible, I do not see how someone could even think JESUS is just another man. He has more power in one of his eye lashes than all the armies that have been on this earth times millions. He has more healing power in one of his hairs, than all the doctors in the entire world times millions. He has more forgiveness than this world will ever have. The clueless government we have is dooming our nation, when the president said "We are no longer just a christian nation." That should have set off alarms from members of congress. But like everything else we continue to pull away from GOD. A friend of mine sent me the video below, watch the entire video, then research it, this is in the Book of Revelation. I do not know who this guy is that made this video, nor do I know who is the man that had this vision. Pastor Michelle I would like to know your thoughts on this video, cause this has me scratching my head. > www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUivh0rsVA0&list=UUrq9TWEFtluCW3s5_b_GBxQ&index=0&feature=plcp

Nitrorichfire, I agree, Jesus has more power than any of us and in that sense is not just another man. On the other hand, he was human like the rest of us, the only human without sin. But that doesn't mean he didn't have feel and understand all that is our brokenness and our humanness. I think Matthew wants us to remember how much Jesus wanted to identify with us... even to the point of suffering and dyeing for us. feeling that pain makes him human lie the rest of us. being willing to make the sacrifice makes him sooooo much unlike us. He is both and, both human and divine. I watched the video you referenced. In my opinion, this vision does not agree with scripture. Revelation is a vision of its own and the nature of a vision is metaphorical and full of imagery. This video seems to suggest that God will bring wrath upon us all. I believe in a God of love and while God can be upset with us, like a parent he always loves us and offers us forgiveness. So, I do not believe God will burn us all down, so to speak. Much of the imagery used int he video is of an old testament God. I believe the arrival and death of Jesus changes all that. I'd be happy to talk with you more about this any time. Also, I think you'd really like our Sunday evening cafe time. These are the kinds of things we talk about during that time. And we agree to disagree! (though we usually find common ground). Do you live in the New Freedom Area?

Pastor Michelle, thank you for watching the video and explaining it to me, it disturbed me, I couldn't even show it to my wife, since she is just starting to read the Bible. I think of GOD as a forgiving and Loving GOD. Yes we live right in New Freedom. You have a cafe at the church? What time on Sunday?? I'm not a fancy dresser, just a normal simple minded guy, who has alot of questions about the Bible. This Sunday may not work with everything going on in our family this weekend. You know I've never even thought about the fact that JESUS was human. You are the first person to make me stop and think about JESUS was a human like us, thank you!

Our Cafe is just a keurig coffee/tea machine, a few couches couches and conversation. Nothing fancy. not like you would envision for a cafe really. We call it a cafe because it's casual. I'm usually in my shorts or jeans by that time of day myself. Its at 6pm down at the church every Sunday night. You are welcome any time. right now we are using these questions as a place to start but the conversation goes everywhere!

Kate - Jesus or the president? Both, I guess, if they are both just like the rest of us! (except of course that Jesus is also divine)
